Job Description

JPD Contracting is looking for experienced Traffic Control Persons (TCPs) for on-call work at construction sites throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Shifts, locations, and start times will vary depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities

- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around construction sites.
- Use STOP/SLOW paddles, hand signals, cones, and other traffic control equipment.
- Follow traffic control plans and site safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, drivers, and pedestrians.
- Remain alert and aware of changing traffic and site conditions.

Requirements

- Valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification from a WorkSafeBC-approved provider, such as BCCSA, BeeSafe, or Universal Health and Safety.




- Certification must include the required practical competency training and assessment.
- Previous TCP or construction-site experience preferred.
- Positive English communication skills.
- Valid authorization to work in Canada.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Required construction PPE.
