Job Title: Purchasing and Quality Control (QC) Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing and Quality Control (QC) Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials and services, ensuring competitive pricing, accurate lead times, and timely purchase order generation. Additionally, they will manage quality control processes, maintain company certifications, and oversee new home warranty policies to uphold Modern Modular’s commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to source high-quality, sustainable materials in line with Modern Modular’s commitment to eco-friendly building practices.

- Obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate lead times for materials and components.

- Generate and manage purchase orders efficiently to support production timelines.

- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules.

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure timely availability of materials.

Quality Control & Compliance:





- Establish and enforce quality standards for all materials and components used in the construction of modular homes.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

- Keep all relevant company certifications current and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Manage new home warranty policies and oversee warranty-related claims and resolutions.

- Collaborate with the design and production teams to address and rectify any quality issues promptly.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, emphasizing Modern Modular’s values of sustainability and efficiency.

- Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure adherence to quality and delivery expectations.

- Source new suppliers as needed to support the development of innovative prefab models.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure all procurement and quality control activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.

- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inspections, and quality reports.

- Prepare and present reports on procurement and quality metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.





- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and quality control, preferably within the construction or modular housing industry.

- Strong knowledge of sustainable building materials and practices.

- Proven experience in competitive pricing negotiations, lead time analysis, and purchase order generation.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
