Location: Central - Northern Alberta / Field-Based

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Rig Manager to join our drilling operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes pride in safe, efficient operations and knows how to get the best out of their crew.

The Rig Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the drilling rig, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, client expectations, and applicable regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Provide strong leadership and direction to the rig crew
- Oversee day-to-day drilling operations and ensure the rig is operating safely and efficiently
- Maintain a strong safety culture and lead by example
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and client requirements are followed
- Monitor rig performance, equipment condition, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with Drilling Superintendents, Company Representatives, and other field personnel
- Plan and organize crew activities to ensure operational objectives are met
- Identify and address potential safety, operational, and equipment issues before they become problems
- Ensure accurate completion of daily reports, safety documentation, and required paperwork
- Coach, mentor, and develop crew members
- Manage crew performance, attendance, and overall accountability
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, investigations, and audits as required
- Communicate effectively with management, clients, and field personnel
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Previous experience as a Rig Manager or in a senior drilling leadership role
- Strong knowledge of drilling rig operations and equipment




- Proven leadership and crew-management experience
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with clients and company personnel
- Valid safety tickets and certifications as required
- Class 5 driver's licence
- Ability to work a rotational field schedule
