Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, presentation standards, and quality specifications
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure timely delivery of dishes by coordinating with the kitchen team during busy service hours
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining proper storage practices
- Support the team in meal preparation for large orders or special events as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working workplace for everyone
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pots or ingredients, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
