High School French Tutor-Mentor – South Winnipeg/St. Vital

TutorBright is seeking an experienced French Tutor-Mentor to support a high school student in the South Winnipeg/St. Vital area. This part time opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident supporting French coursework, written assignments, reading comprehension, grammar, and essay writing in French.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized one-on-one French tutoring sessions.
- Support a high school student with French reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and assignments.
- Help with French essay planning, structure, development, editing, and written expression.
- Act as a mentor and positive role model, helping the student build confidence and stronger academic habits.
- Adapt teaching strategies to match the student’s learning style, school expectations, and academic goals.

Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
- Ability to support high school-level French coursework and essay writing in French.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or youth-support experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.




- Commitment to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

- Ability to provide in-home tutoring.
- Located in Winnipeg, preferably in or near South Winnipeg/St. Vital.
- Reliable transportation.
- Current or willingness to obtain a vulnerable sector police check.

Additional Assets:

- Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Graduate of or currently enrolled in a B.Ed., French, Education, Linguistics, or related program.
- Certified Teacher.
- Experience supporting high school students with French writing, essays, and academic assignments.
