## About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial cooling systems across Grand Cayman. The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC/R experience, thrives in a tropical climate, and is comfortable working independently or as part of a small crew.

## Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair split, ducted, and central air conditioning systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using standard testing equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks
- Handle refrigerant recovery, recharging, and leak detection in accordance with environmental regulations
- Respond to emergency callouts and service requests in a timely manner
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and job reports
- Ensure all work complies with Cayman Islands building and electrical codes, as well as manufacturer warranty requirements
- Provide clear explanations and recommendations to clients regarding system performance and repairs
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety protocols, including secure handling of refrigerants and electrical systems

## Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an AC/HVAC technician
- Recognized HVAC/R trade certification or equivalent apprenticeship experience
- EPA 608 certification (or equivalent refrigerant handling certification) preferred




- Valid Cayman Islands driver's license (or ability to obtain one)
- Comfortable working outdoors and on rooftops in a hot, humid climate
- Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of AC brands and system types
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Physically able to lift equipment and work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops)

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both residential and light commercial systems
- Familiarity with inverter/ductless mini-split systems
- Prior experience working in the Caribbean or similarly humid, salt-air environments
- Valid Cayman Islands work permit, or eligibility to obtain one (employer sponsorship available for the right candidate)
