We are seeking a proactive and organized Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Utilize transportation management systems . schedule, track, and coordinate freight shipments effectively.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, ensuring accurate information exchange.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules, verifying documentation and coordinating pickup and delivery times.
- Enter data accurately into Expert Dispatch and other relevant systems to maintain up-to-date records of shipments, freight details, and delivery statuses.
- Analyze logistical data to identify potential delays or issues, proactively resolving problems to maintain smooth operations.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when liaising with external carriers and internal departments.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by coordinating freight movements, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Prior experience minimum of 3 years
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate shipment records using AS400 or similar platforms.
- Proven analysis skills to interpret logistical data and optimize routing or scheduling processes.
- Experience handling shipping & receiving functions within a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette are essential for effective coordination.
