Shindico, an industry leader with over 50 years of operations in real estate development and investment management in Canada, is looking for the following full-time permanent position to join our team:

Working within a team of property accountants, you will be responsible for the overall accounting functions for a real estate asset portfolio consisting of residential, retail, or office properties.

Main responsibilities include the following:

- Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties including annual budgets, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and operational reports
- Budget review and analysis on property financial performance
- Manage rental billings, tenant recoveries, and adjustments in accordance with lease agreements
- Team lead on various projects
- Prepare government remittances and other reports
- Respond to inquiries from team members
- Ad hoc projects

You should possess the following key skills and attributes:

- Professional Accounting designation in process considered an asset
- Selfmotivated, organized, detail oriented, with above average problem-solving skills
- Likes to work as a team while independently managing their own responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of competence with Microsoft Excel/Office and adept at learning new systems
- Yardi Voyager and Real Estate experience is an asset
