Darling Contracting and Development Inc. is hiring a Construction Labourer to support our residential and commercial projects. This is an active, physical role for someone who takes initiative, works safely and understands that a well-supported jobsite makes everyone more effective.

What you’ll do

- Perform physical construction work, including lifting and carrying materials, loading and unloading, digging, site preparation and cleanup.
- Assist carpenters and other trades with daily construction tasks.
- Complete material pickups, deliveries and dump runs.
- Drive company trucks and tow trailers safely, within your licence qualifications.
- Secure loads, check vehicles and trailers before use, and report maintenance concerns.
- Keep tools, materials and work areas organized, accessible and safe.
- Check deliveries against orders and communicate missing or damaged materials.
- Follow site safety procedures and report hazards promptly.

What you bring

- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence is required.
- Ability to safely drive a truck and trailer, including backing up and securing loads.
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the day, indoors and outdoors.
- Reliability, a willingness to learn and respect for your teammates.
- Care for tools,



equipment and clients’ properties.
- Construction experience is an asset.

Your role in the bigger picture

Every person on our team helps keep the whole operation moving. We assign responsibility for health and safety, material ordering and deliveries, quality control, warranty, documentation, and coordination with subcontractors and fellow trades.

In this role, your main contribution is secure, dependable site support and material handling. Accurate delivery records, timely pickups and an organized jobsite help the crew carry out the plan. You’ll work with the supervisor and the people responsible for each area to keep work moving smoothly.
