Responsibilities

- Prepare metal parts for chrome plating by cleaning, masking, and setting up components using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move heavy or bulky items within the manufacturing area.
- Apply electroplating solutions accurately, monitoring process parameters to ensure consistent coating quality.
- Inspect finished parts for surface defects, thickness uniformity, and adherence to specifications using basic math and measuring tools.
- Maintain equipment such as tanks, filters, and spray systems through routine cleaning and mechanical adjustments.




- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve plating efficiency.
- Document process steps, quality checks, and maintenance activities diligently for compliance and traceability.

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining processes.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely with proper certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Robust understanding of manufacturing processes with a focus on electroplating or surface finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with assembly procedures and the use of hand tools for detailed work.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses, and process adjustments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
