About Basco Automotive Services

Basco Automotive Services is seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd-year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. We service a diverse range of Japanese and European vehicles, including BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Subaru.

This position is well suited to an apprentice who takes pride in their work, is committed to continued learning, and can contribute effectively in both independent and team-based settings.

Key responsibilities

- Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics
- Complete brake, suspension, tire, and wheel-alignment services
- Assist with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Use professional automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair information systems
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and shop procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment
- Communicate effectively with the team and support daily shop operations

Qualifications

- Currently registered as a 2nd-year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on,



in-shop automotive experience
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Own a complete set of automotive tools
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Clean driving record
- Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to work
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

Compensation and work environment

- $20–$26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Straight-time hourly pay; no flat-rate system
- Consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule
- Hands-on training and mentorship
