Qualifications – Long Term Care Home

- Registered Nurse (RN) registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- BLS / CPR certification
- Leadership experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Familiarity with the Ministry of Long-Term Care and the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the last 6 months
- Job Type: Independent Contractor – Full-Time
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months + possibility of extension
- Pay Rate: $65/hr
- Hours: Full-Time

Responsibilities:
Directors of Care are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Providing leadership and oversight to nursing and resident care services
- Supporting the development and implementation of resident care plans
- Supervising and supporting nursing staff to ensure quality care delivery
- Ensuring compliance with Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements and applicable legislation
- Monitoring clinical practices, documentation, and resident outcomes
- Collaborating with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift,



with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- Previous leadership experience in healthcare or long-term care (required)
- Experience working within a long-term care environment is an asset
- Familiarity with the Ministry of Long-Term Care and the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
