Cyr Electrical Contracting is looking for a reliable and experienced Journeyman Electrician to help with a growing workload in Saskatoon and the surrounding area.
This position would be a good fit for someone who is comfortable working independently, takes pride in their workmanship, and can be trusted to complete jobs properly without needing constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, renovations, service work and troubleshooting
- Install conduit, cable, boxes, devices, lighting and electrical equipment
- Complete rough-in and finishing work
- Make panel, equipment and device terminations
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Troubleshoot existing electrical systems
- Work independently or alongside the owner and other trades
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and other trades
- Complete work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and Saskatchewan requirements
What I'm Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Holds a Saskatchewan Journeyperson Electrician certificate
- Has a strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Can work independently and make good decisions in the field
- Produces clean, qualified workmanship
- Is dependable and shows up when they say they will
- Works efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Takes ownership of their work
- Is comfortable working on a variety of projects rather than doing the same task every day
- Communicates well and is easy to work with
- Treats customers' homes and job sites with respect
- Has a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
A strong 4th-year electrical apprentice may also be considered.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Minimum approximately 25 hours per week
- Typically 35–40 hours per week when projects are busy
- Position will initially be project-based, with the possibility of developing into a longer-term/full-time position as the company continues to grow
Compensation
Journeyman Electrician: $45.00/hour
Apprentice wages would be based on apprenticeship level and experience.

Cyr Electrical Contracting is a small and growing electrical contractor based in Saskatoon. The work includes a mix of electrical construction, renovations, service work and commercial projects.

Pay: Up to $48.65 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
