ABOUT THE POSITION

The General Labourer supports daily manufacturing and warehouse operations in a fast-paced dairy production environment. Responsibilities include operating production equipment, packaging products, maintaining cleanliness standards, handling materials, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Assist with daily production, packaging, and general manufacturing activities.
- Operate or assist with production equipment and machinery as directed and trained.




- Support the setup, cleaning, and changeover of production lines.
- Move and handle raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, and finished products.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues or irregularities to the supervisor.
- Perform quality checks and record production information as required.
- Ensure tools, materials, and product labels are correct before use.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
- Perform sanitation and cleaning duties according to department procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment safely, following training and PPE requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping in production areas, walkways, washrooms, and other assigned areas.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, spills, or food safety concerns immediately.
- Support line changes, product transitions, and other production requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and LEAN activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

- Previous experience in food manufacturing,



production, packaging, or warehousing is an asset.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and support changing production requirements.
- Ability to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
- Food safety, HACCP, GMP, and chemical-handling training are assets.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- $20/hour

SHIFT

- 7AM – 3PM

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Indoor production facility with moderate noise levels, machinery, and equipment in operation.
- Temperature can vary depending on the season and specific work area.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) when required.
- Frequent standing and movement around the production floor.
- May involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials throughout the shift.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and gloves as required.
