Duties

- Deliver prepared lessons across multiple high school subjects, including core areas like Math, Science, English, and Social Studies
- Manage classroom behavior to create a safe and respectful learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Collaborate with school staff to support individualized learning plans (ILPs) and accommodate students with special needs
- Provide transparent instructions and foster open communication to engage students actively in their learning process




- Maintain accurate attendance records and complete necessary documentation for each class session

Requirements

- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or extracurricular setting
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective behavior management and instructional skills
- Strong communication skills to connect with students, staff, and parents effectively
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs
- Understanding of a 2E and Neurodiverse population
