This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong surgical nursing knowledge to join the Ambulatory Care team at Prince Rupert. You'll play a critical role in supporting patients through their surgical and outpatient care journey while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Summary

As an Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing diagnostic, surgical, and outpatient procedures. You will utilize your clinical assessment skills, surgical nursing knowledge, and critical thinking abilities to ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after procedures.

This role requires a confident and adaptable nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

What You'll Do

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for ambulatory and surgical patients.
- Administer medications, treatments,



and therapeutic interventions in accordance with clinical standards.
- Monitor patient recovery and respond effectively to changing patient conditions.
- Support physicians and interdisciplinary teams during procedures and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using approved systems.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Respond confidently to urgent and emergency situations using established clinical practices.

What You Bring

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and eligible to practice in British Columbia.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Strong background in surgical nursing and perioperative patient care.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.




- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient advocacy skills.
- Commitment to delivering safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Experience working in rural or regional healthcare facilities considered an asset.
