Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Quality Officer, the Learning Academy Project Lead provides project leadership, coordination, consultation, and facilitation for the development and implementation planning of the organizational Learning Academy. The Project Lead is responsible for advancing this strategic initiative through stakeholder engagement, framework development, implementation planning, partnership development, and project management activities.

The Learning Academy is envisioned as a centre of excellence for onboarding, orientation, competency development, leadership development, continuing education, and workforce development across the organization. The Project Lead works collaboratively with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members, operational leaders, clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, external educational institutions, and industry partners to co-create a sustainable and scalable learning infrastructure that supports workforce excellence and organizational priorities.

The Project Lead provides leadership in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Learning Academy structures, processes, and programs that support recruitment, retention, succession planning, professional development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and resident-centered care.

This position serves as the central point of coordination for the initiative, ensuring project milestones are achieved, deliverables are completed, and stakeholders remain engaged throughout development and implementation planning.

Educational and other Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration,



Organizational Development, Health Administration, Adult Education, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- Formal education or certification in project management preferred (PMP, PRINCE2, Lean, Agile, or equivalent).
- Adult education, curriculum development, instructional design, organizational learning, or leadership development training preferred.
- Change management certification or training considered an asset.
- Understanding of healthcare, continuing care, seniors' services, or community-based care environments preferred.

Work Experience:

- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, education, learning and development, organizational development, project management, or workforce development.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex organizational projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in strategic planning, implementation planning, and change management.
- Experience developing educational programs, competency frameworks, onboarding processes, or leadership development initiatives.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement and building team-oriented partnerships.
- Experience working with post-secondary institutions, professional organizations, industry partners, or workforce development initiatives considered an asset.
- Experience preparing executive reports, business cases, project updates, and recommendations.

- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, workforce development strategies,



and competency-based education.

- Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaborative decision-making.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong relationship-building and consultation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and timelines.
- Knowledge of change management methodologies and organizational transformation principles.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, learning management systems, and project management software.
- Ability to travel throughout Alberta and British Columbia as required.
- Flexible work hours may be required to support stakeholder engagement and project deliverables.

Requirements:

- A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
