What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced landscape construction labourer who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of quality workmanship, safety, productivity, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in landscape construction, is comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment, and can complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a construction crew.

Job Responsibilities

- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and supplies;
- Prepare construction sites through digging, trenching, grading, compacting, and site clean-up;
- Assist with the installation of concrete, asphalt, limestone trails, curbs, barriers, and other landscape structures;
- Assist with the construction and installation of retaining walls, including precast, armour stone, gabion, and other retaining wall systems;
- Assist with the installation of various fencing systems, including chain link, decorative iron, farm, and custom fencing;
- Assist with planting trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials for streetscapes, commercial properties, and other landscape projects;
- Prepare and grade lawn and landscape areas using hand tools and construction equipment;
- Mix, pour, spread, and finish materials such as concrete, aggregate, and other construction materials as required;
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, compactors, and other construction equipment;
- Follow direction from Forepersons and Site Supervisors and work effectively with other members of the construction crew;




- Follow all Company policies and applicable health and safety requirements;
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; and
- Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of landscape construction or related construction experience;
- Previous experience with hardscape, concrete, retaining wall, fencing, grading, or similar landscape construction work is an asset;
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract is an asset, but not a requirement.
- Ability to safely use common construction hand and power tools;
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, digging, climbing, and working on uneven terrain;
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions;
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a crew;
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices;
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a robust work pace; and
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Pay: $24.00-$27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
