This is an on-site full-time position based out in our Saskatoon branch and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.

As an Commercial Door Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

Installation Services:

- · Ability to remove and install wood & metal door frames and modify as required
- · Handle, hang and square up doors in their openings and install glazing
- · Installation and commissioning of builders hardware on door openings
- · Ensures the keying or access controls/door operators are complete according to customers performance specifications
- · Installation of specialty product when required (toilet partitions, lockers, flag poles, shutters etc)
- · Install products in accordance with manufactures specifications and scope of project
- · Moving, receiving and organizing all materials for scope of work
- · Maintain up-to-date, accurate document control processes for the projects, including field reports, and specifications as required
- · Collect,



document, and file field data (measurements, pictures, etc.) as required
- · Attend site meetings when necessary
- · Supervision and training of other on-site labourers
- · Accurate estimating of time to complete tasks and adherence to agreed deadlines
- · Accurately recording receipt of goods on our sales order in conjunction with hardware or other schedules
- · Completes proper paperwork showing the pickup of goods and delivery to site
- · Use of company’s vehicle to move product to and from site with adherence to safety standards
- · Identifies and communicates any short shipped or damaged product to project coordinator immediately
- · Follows company’s procedures as to paper flow, documentation, and packaging for both shipping and receiving on site
- · Maintain a clean and safe working setting

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 2-4 years of experience with installation of commercial doors
- Carpentry designations are a strong asset
- Welding experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience with low voltage wiring is an asset

Specific Skills and Characteristics:

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and other construction documents
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and resources before and throughout the installation

Certifications/Licenses

- Clean and valid Driver’s License without restrictions is required

- A successful candidate must be able to work in secured areas requiring a successful criminal background check
- The candidate shall be able and willing to help complete out-of-town projects when required
