Global Pet Foods is looking for a Part time Pet Specialist to join our Kanata store. This role suits someone with real-world experience, a steady, trustworthy manner, and a genuine love of animals — someone pet owners feel comfortable turning to for advice.

What You'll Do

- Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service and a welcoming in-store experience
- Get to know regular customers and their pets, and offer thoughtful, personalized nutrition advice
- Contribute to daily, weekly,



and monthly sales goals and help improve store profitability
- Support a positive, respectful team environment
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-merchandised
- Take part in regular product training to stay current on our offerings
- Help maintain merchandising and brand standards

What We're Looking For

- A genuine passion for animals and a desire to help fellow pet owners
- Robust communication skills and a natural ease putting customers at ease
- Reliability, sound judgment, and a calm, professional manner
- Comfort with basic cash handling and retail transactions
- Experience in sales, retail, customer service, leadership, or a customer-facing role of any kind — including experience gained outside of traditional retail
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to our Kanata location
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- A willingness to learn and adapt, and an openness to new product knowledge and store processes
- Availability for evenings and weekends is a MUST.
