Online Canadian Secondary School Teachers – Math, English, Social Studies, Science, AP, SAT & Math Competitions

We are currently hiring experienced and dedicated Canadian secondary school teachers and subject specialists to teach online classes in the following areas:

- Mathematics
- English
- Social Studies
- Science
- English Literature and Literary Analysis
- AP Courses
- SAT Preparation
- Waterloo Mathematics Contests
- AMC Mathematics Competitions

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience teaching middle school or high school students in Canada is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of the Canadian secondary school curriculum, especially the BC curriculum, is an asset.
- Teachers with experience teaching AP courses or SAT preparation are highly encouraged to apply.
- For English teachers, experience teaching literary analysis, essay writing, close reading, and interpretation of novels, plays, poetry, and other literary works is highly valued.
- For mathematics teachers, experience preparing students for University of Waterloo Mathematics Contests such as the Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, Euclid, or Canadian Senior/Intermediate Mathematics Contests is an asset.
- Experience coaching students for AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12, AIME, or other mathematics competitions is highly preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and systematically.
- Able to create an engaging and interactive online learning environment.
- Comfortable asking students questions, encouraging participation, and keeping students actively involved throughout the lesson.




- Responsible, patient, organized, and committed to student learning.
- Able to adapt teaching methods to different student levels and learning needs.
- Must be willing to assign appropriate homework and carefully review, correct, and provide meaningful feedback on student work.
- For writing-based courses, teachers should provide detailed feedback on students’ essays, written responses, organization, grammar, argument development, and analysis.
- Reliable and punctual, with strong communication skills.
- Experience using Zoom, Google Classroom, or other online teaching platforms is an asset.

Position Details:

- Online teaching position
- Small-group classes
- Students are primarily Canadian middle school and high school students.
- Courses may include regular school curriculum, enrichment, AP, SAT preparation, and academic competition preparation.
- Class schedules may include weekday evenings and weekends.
- Part-time / contract opportunities available.
