Detail Guard is a growing architectural window film company specializing in security, solar control, privacy, decorative films, and architectural finishes for residential and commercial properties throughout the GTA.

We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on individual who wants to learn a specialized trade and grow with our company long-term.

Previous window film experience is an asset, but not required. If you have a strong work ethic, take pride in your work, and are eager to learn, we’re willing to train you from the ground up.

This is not intended to be just another labour position. Our goal is to develop the right person into a Lead Installer who can eventually take responsibility for projects, lead installations, and train and supervise junior installers as our team continues to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Window Film Installer, you’ll work alongside experienced installers while learning the proper techniques for installing:

- Security and safety window films
- Solar control films
- Privacy and decorative films
- Architectural finishes and graphics

Projects range from residential homes to larger commercial and retail installations throughout the GTA.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Window Film Installation: Learn to professionally measure, prepare, cut, handle, and install architectural window films according to Detail Guard standards.
- Surface & Site Preparation: Properly clean and prepare glass and surrounding work areas prior to installation.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work and develop the attention to detail required to consistently produce clean, professional installations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with homeowners, contractors, property managers, and commercial clients while working on site.
- Equipment & Materials: Properly use, maintain, and organize installation tools, equipment, films, and materials.
- Job Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and protected throughout the installation process.
- Safety: Follow company safety procedures when working with ladders, lifts, glass, tools, and other equipment.
- Project Documentation: Accurately record hours,



materials, measurements, and other required job information.

Experience with window film, automotive tint, PPF, vinyl graphics, signage, construction, glazing, finishing trades, or other precision-based hands-on work is an asset, but not required.

Long-Term Prospect

We're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside Detail Guard.

The successful candidate will initially work alongside our team while learning our installation methods, products, equipment, and quality standards.

As your skills and experience develop, there will be an opportunity to progress into a Lead Installer position, including:

- Running installations independently
- Taking responsibility for project quality and completion
- Coordinating work on site
- Communicating directly with clients
- Training and supervising junior installers
- Taking on increasing responsibility within the company

We want to invest our time and training into someone who sees themselves becoming an important part of the company as we grow.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence




- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the GTA
- Flexible availability depending on project schedules

Working at Heights, scissor lift, and boom lift experience/certification are assets but not required.

Compensation

$18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skills.

There is opportunity for increased compensation and responsibility as you develop into an independent installer and eventually a leadership position.
