Dishwasher / Kitchen Support – CHAIYO by PAI

CHAIYO by PAI is looking for a reliable, clean, organized, and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Support team member to join our team.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

- Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cooking tools, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to restaurant sanitation standards.
- Return all cleaned items to their proper designated places and keep storage areas organized.
- Prepare and cook white rice using a commercial rice cooker according to established restaurant standards and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing station throughout the shift.
- Perform general daily cleaning throughout the kitchen and restaurant, including floors, work surfaces, sinks, equipment, storage areas, and other assigned areas.
- Perform scheduled deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, hard-to-reach areas, shelving, walls, floors, drains, storage areas, and other areas as assigned.
- Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces according to food-safety and sanitation standards.




- Receive deliveries and organize products in the appropriate storage areas.
- Properly store and organize vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and food-safety standards.
- Safely lift, move, and handle boxes and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Assist the kitchen team with cleaning, organization, and other kitchen support duties as needed.

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, clean, and well-organized.
- Must be available Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Able to work efficiently in a quick-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
- Able to follow instructions, cleaning schedules, and established restaurant procedures.
- Understanding of FIFO, food safety, sanitation, and proper food-storage practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of Thai cooking and Thai ingredients is a strong asset.
- Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is an asset.

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
