Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to an elderly individual currently residing in their home in Edmonton, Alberta. Must be fluent in Cantonese/Mandarin! Only candidates residing in Edmonton and within commuting distances are encouraged to apply.

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting our client with daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Duties:

- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing





- Assist with mobility and transfers

- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals

- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior

- Prepare meals and assist with feeding

- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry

- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations

- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings

Experience:

- Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or related fields is preferred

- Ability to perform heavy lifting, if required

- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions

- Familiarity with patient care procedures and protocols

- Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals in nursing homes, home care, or hospice care settings

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
