O’Hanlon Paving's Paving crews (Operators & Labourers) are growing and we are looking for enthusiastic & experienced Paving Crew Personnel to work seasonally in a full time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.
Responsibilities:

· Assist the crews with Equipment Operator or labourer duties

· Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour and use of hands and tools

· Safe operation of equipment such as Wobbly, Roller operators or packers

· Work with minimal supervision

· Perform daily safety and maintenance checks

· Other duties as required

Qualifications:

· Some experience in operation of construction related equipment such as wobbly, packer or finished roller will be an asset; OR

· Some labourer experience assisting crews and operating construction equipment will be an asset;

· Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry;

· Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time;

· Open to training & learning equipment for growth opportunity;

· Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to job sites;

· High attention to detail,



robust communication skills and ability to follow directions;

· Ability to work in varying weather conditions;

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;

· Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends;

· Valid safety certifications.

Additional Information:*

· This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year

· This position is eligible for over-time

· Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required

· Training will be provided for various activities

· We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season)

· Potential on-call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season
