Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery is looking for a Bakery Counter Supervisor to join our team.
This is a hands-on position working at our busy Bakery Counter. The role involves supervising and working alongside the team to make sure our fresh baked goods and food products are properly packaged, labelled, stocked and beautifully presented for our guests.
This is a packaging-heavy role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, is organized, works efficiently and pays close attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and working alongside the Bakery Counter Team
- Packaging and labelling fresh baked goods
- Packaging dry mixes and other Krause food products
- Preparing and packaging gift baskets
- Stocking and maintaining our bakery cases throughout the day
- Selling baked goods and assisting guests at the Bakery Counter
- Making sure products are packaged, labelled and priced correctly
- Maintaining attractive, well-stocked bakery displays
- Organizing daily packaging priorities and making sure products are ready when needed
- Monitoring packaging supplies and communicating when supplies need to be reordered
- Training and supporting Bakery Counter staff
- Keeping the team organized and on task during busy periods
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Working with our Bakery, Kitchen, Market and Management Teams as needed
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in retail,
food service, bakery, packaging or a similar environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality
- Comfortable with a large amount of daily packaging
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests
- Able to lead by example and work alongside the team
- Reliable, flexible and self-motivated
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Full-time availability, including weekends
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs
The standard work week will generally be Wednesday through Sunday. Some flexibility may be required depending on the season and needs of the Farm.
