Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
- Assist in developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.
- Manage patient records accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Provide support during dental procedures, including passing instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions about treatments and post-care instructions.




- Maintain a clean and organized operatory environment adhering to infection control protocols.
- Support pediatric patients and their families with gentle care tailored to children’s needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient service.

Requirements

- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification.
- Proven experience in dental hygiene within a busy dental office setting.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix dental practice management software.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and compassionately about their oral health.
