Blüm Academy is seeking an exceptional Primary Educator with leadership potential to join our team as a Assistant Director in Training — a structured pathway into campus leadership at our Tuxedo Park location.

At Blüm, all leadership roles begin in the classroom. This is not optional. Our pedagogy, systems, and culture are proprietary and lived — not learned from a handbook. Every leader at Blüm earns their role by first working directly with students, modeling our standards in real time, and building deep fluency in our approach before leading others.

The Leadership Pathway

This role is intentionally designed in two phases:

Phase 1 —
You will join Blüm as a Primary Educator, while completing structured leadership training and shadowing campus leadership.

Phase 2 —
You will transition into an Assistant Program Manager role, stepping into the Program Manager role each week (20% of the time) and as needed for coverage. This timeline is intentional and fixed because it allows for real mastery, not rushed promotion.

Phase 1 Responsibilities — Classroom & Leadership Training

In the Classroom

- Lead a Primary classroom with consistency, warmth, and professionalism
- Implement Blüm’s Montessori- and Reggio-inspired proprietary curriculum
- Maintain a calm, prepared environment with clear daily rhythms
- Model respectful language, boundaries, and transitions
- Build solid, trust-based relationships with families

Leadership Development





- Shadow the Program Manager and Operations Manager, with guidance from the Regional Manager
- Participate in leadership meetings, inspections, and observations
- Learn Blüm’s internal systems, matrices, and accountability frameworks
- Receive coaching in:
- Educator feedback and coaching
- Family communication protocols
- Coverage, and daily operations
- Classroom oversight and quality control

Phase 2 Responsibilities — AssistantProgram Manager

Qualifications

- Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification (required)
- Strong Primary classroom experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability or readiness for leadership
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Calm, grounded presence under pressure

Pay: $20.00-$20.40 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
