CanadianParent.ca serves a large community of Canadian parents through articles, research, polls, giveaways and a custom Rewards platform. We’re looking for a developer who can help us create better-looking, better-performing web experiences as we continue to grow.

The Role

We need someone who can take an idea, screenshot or AI-generated mockup and turn it into a polished, working page. You’ll work on new signup pages, landing pages, WordPress updates, SEO improvements and projects that help more visitors become members.

We value initiative. We want you to explore the site, understand what each page is trying to achieve, suggest improvements and carry projects through to completion. You should be comfortable making thoughtful design decisions when every detail hasn’t been specified.

Our existing development team manages the core Rewards platform. You’ll collaborate with them when your work connects to member accounts, signup data or other platform functions.

What You’ll Do

- Design and build attractive, responsive landing pages and signup experiences
- Turn mockups and visual concepts into working pages that look polished on desktop and mobile
- Improve page layouts, forms, calls to action and user journeys
- Develop and maintain WordPress pages, templates and site features
- Implement technical and on-page SEO improvements, including page structure, internal linking, metadata, indexability and performance
- Use analytics and testing to identify opportunities to improve signup conversion
- Work with our Rewards developers to connect front-end experiences to existing platform functions
- Use AI tools to speed up development and problem-solving while reviewing the quality of the finished work




- Test your work, resolve issues and communicate progress clearly

What We’re Looking For

- Strong WordPress development experience
- Excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills
- A portfolio of live, polished websites or landing pages you personally built
- Strong visual judgment, including layout, spacing, typography and mobile design
- Practical SEO experience with examples of improvements you implemented
- Experience building or improving forms, signup flows and conversion-focused pages
- Ability to work independently, contribute ideas and take responsibility for finished work
- Clear written and verbal English communication

Experience with PHP, Laravel, APIs, Google Cloud, analytics or AI integrations is valuable.

Contract Arrangement

This is a remote contract position. We’re open to starting with a defined project or an ongoing weekly commitment. Full-time contract work is available for the right person after we establish a strong working relationship.

Compensation will be based on experience and the proposed arrangement.

Pay: $40,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
