Vitality BioMed is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a beautifully appointed space in Calgary, AB. We are seeking a self-motivated, compassionate, and skilled Medical Doctor with certification in Functional Medicine to join our incredible team, working a minimum of 2 days per week with room to grow up to 5 days per week as your practice builds.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, lifestyle evaluation, physical examinations, and lab result reviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating natural remedies, nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, homeopathy, physical therapies, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with other practitioners within our clinic, as well as conventional medical doctors and specialists, to ensure comprehensive, integrative care.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, holistic health principles, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient consultations, assessments, and treatments using our EMR system.

Qualifications & Skills

- In-depth knowledge of Integrative or Functional Medicine principles, modalities, and therapies.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.




- Empathy and compassion to provide personalized, patient-centered care.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex medical conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Organizational skills to manage patient caseload, maintain records, and schedule appointments.
- Commitment to staying current on the latest research and developments in functional and integrative medicine.

Requirements

- Medical Doctor, with graduation from an accredited medical program.
- ·Certification in Functional Medicine (e.g., IFM/AFMCP or equivalent).
- Successful completion of national board examinations and eligibility to be licensed/registered to practice medicine in Alberta (CPSA).
- Legal eligibility to work in Alberta, Canada.
- Continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current on advancements in the field.
- A strong commitment to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Minimum availability of 2 days per week, with capacity to increase up to 5 days per week.

Pay: $127,041.76-$431,494.98 per year
