Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Blister packaging
- Co-ordinating with the delivery company for our patient's deliveries (inputting them into the system).
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders for pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, offering guidance on medication usage, and addressing concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe setting for patients and staff.
- Process prescriptions accurately, including verifying patient information and medication details.




- Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the hospital to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy workspace.

Skills

- Proficiency in medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers and patients.
- Knowledge of medication administration practices to ensure safe handling of pharmaceuticals.
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations is a plus, enhancing collaboration within the healthcare team.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 37.5 per week
