About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Platform Engineer to build and maintain the core infrastructure supporting their blockchain initiatives in Kimberley . This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of their blockchain networks and associated services. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing blockchain nodes, networks, and related tools.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in systems engineering, DevOps, and a deep understanding of blockchain protocols, contributing to robust and high-performance platforms in the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and manage blockchain nodes and networks (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger).

Implement and maintain infrastructure for supporting smart contract deployments and operations.

Develop and automate operational processes using scripting and CI/CD tools.

Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

Ensure the security and integrity of the blockchain infrastructure through robust security practices.





Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network stability, performance, and availability.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management.

Proven experience with managing and operating blockchain networks or distributed systems.

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.

Understanding of networking, security, and database technologies relevant to blockchain infrastructure.
