Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Cake Decorator role located in London, ON.

The Cake

Decorator will prepare, bake, and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and related products according to la Cakery’s standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities include measuring and mixing ingredients, frosting and finishing cakes, creating custom designs, and decorating cookies and other specialty items. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and hygiene guidelines,



and assisting with inventory of baking and decorating supplies.

The Cake

Decorator will interact with customers and team members, help with order preparation, and support the overall daily operations of the bakery.

Qualifications

- Experience in bakery operations, including Baking and general Bakery production skills.
- Strong Cake Decorating skills, including piping, fondant work, and custom design execution.
- Ability to decorate and prepare Cookies and other small baked items with consistent quality.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and handle custom orders.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Attention to detail, good time management, and ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as needed.
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment is preferred; relevant training or certification in baking or pastry arts is an asset.
