Under general supervision, the CNC Lathe Operator is responsible to produce machined parts for Schulte machines and equipment by setting up and operating a computer numerical control machine; in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. This role is also responsible for running and maintaining equipment and follow all safety standards.

This position is an on-site opportunity that requires relocation to the Englefeld/Humboldt or nearby area. Relocation allowance will be provided to the selected candidate.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Program and operate CNC lathe on a daily basis

Operate manual lathe as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Ability to read shop drawings

Ability to follow protected operating procedures

Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision

Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication

Ability to get along well with others

Knowledge of small hands tools, impacts and air tools

Basic computer skills; knowledge of JD Edwards an asset

Basic math skills

Ability to read all measuring devices (caliper, etc.)

Education and Experience: High school graduate

Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC lathes, HAAS machines preferred
