The anticipated hourly rate for this position ranges from $21/hour to $26/hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s completed co-op work terms.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications co-op in our Human Resources Department. This role supports the Internal Communications Consultant and collaborates with the Marketing, External Affairs, and Public Relations teams. This is a contract opportunity, and the individual will report to the Manager of Talent, Wellbeing, and Communications.

Co-op Program Initiatives

- Case competition – work as a team with co-op students to solve a real-world business problem

- Co-op Events (business acumen series, past & present series, final presentation)

- Social lunches – connect with co-op students from all departments

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Coordinate the development, translation, review, and distribution of company-wide newsletter

- Draft, design and maintain compelling communications, graphics and assets for company-wide distribution for a variety of channels, including but not limited to meeting invitations, leadership communications, SharePoint pages and networked digital screens

- Support the administration, coordination,



and execution of internal events

- Respond to inbound LinkedIn inquiries and messages to provide accurate information about the business and ongoing recruitment opportunities

- Support with associate programs such as Volunteerism, Rewards and Recognition and Wellness

What You’ll Bring:

- Currently enrolled in a college/university program in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline

- Effective oral and written communication skills: public speaking is an asset

- Solid critical thinking and problem solving

- Excellent organizational and customer service skills

- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and execute multiple projects in a timely manner

- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform tasks with limited supervision

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

- Knowledge in graphic design and Photoshop is an asset

- Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills, with the ability to handle ad-hoc assignments

- Teamwork experience through school, extracurricular activities, or in past work assignments

- Event coordination experience is an asset

- Canva Experience is an asset
