Description Reporting to the

Manager, Childcare , the ECE Infant/Toddler Educator plays an important role in creating nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. You will work collaboratively with families and fellow educators to support children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development while fostering a robust sense of belonging.

As an ECE Infant/Toddler Educator, you will help create meaningful learning experiences that support the unique strengths and needs of every child. What You Will Do As an ECE Infant/Toddler Educator, you will:

Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and activities that support children's growth and learning.

Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes well-being, independence,



and belonging.

Support infant and toddler development through responsive caregiving and relationship-based practices.

Observe, document, and assess children's development and learning outcomes.

Build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.

Communicate regularly with families regarding children's progress, developmental goals, and achievements.

Implement positive guidance and behaviour support strategies that respect individual developmental needs and cultural backgrounds.

Assist children with personal care, feeding, toileting, and other daily living activities as required.

Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

Collaborate with educators and support staff to create engaging learning experiences and successful transitions.

Participate in professional development, team meetings, and continuous program improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate recognized by the BC Early Childhood Educator Registry.

Valid ECE Infant/Toddler (IT) Certificate recognized by the BC Early Childhood Educator Registry.

Current First Aid Certificate with CPR-C and AED.





Knowledge of child development and responsive caregiving approaches.

Understanding of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and health and safety requirements.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, and community professionals.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professional judgment.
