We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Journeyperson to join our client’s Commercial Projects Team in Saskatoon.

About the Role

Our client is a rapidly growing electrical contractor delivering electrical and instrumentation services across Saskatchewan, with projects in the commercial, light industrial, oil and gas, mining, agriculture, and construction sectors.

The Electrical Journeyperson will be responsible for electrical installations and equipment wiring while providing leadership and guidance to Apprentices working alongside them.

Project schedules and shifts will vary depending on the project, and the successful candidate must be willing to work away from home when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete electrical installations on new construction and retrofit projects
- Pull, install, and terminate electrical wire
- Install switchgear, cable trays, and fire alarm systems
- Install conduit, outlets, switches, and other electrical components
- Install and connect MCCs
- Complete motor wiring and controls
- Read and interpret electrical plans,



blueprints, and drawings
- Operate power tools, equipment, and electrical testing and measuring devices
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify appropriate solutions
- Ensure electrical work is completed safely, accurately, and to required standards
- Oversee and support Apprentices working on the project
- Teach and mentor Apprentices, helping them develop their electrical skills
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project teams, and other trades
- Participate in safety meetings and follow all site safety procedures
- Perform other electrical duties as required

Requirements

- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Construction Electrician
- Previous commercial or light industrial electrical experience
- Strong understanding of electrical installations and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and blueprints
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Valid and clean Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work away from home when required by the project
