Job Opportunity Smurfit Westrock is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Flexographic Operator to join our production team in Mississauga. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, dependable, mechanically inclined, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment.

Shift Availability Candidates must be flexible and available to work on either shift:

Day Shift (35 hrs)

Afternoon Shift (35 hrs)

Midnight Shift (36 hrs)

Overtime and weekend work may be required.

What You Will Be Doing

Prioritize safety and follow all plant health and safety rules, policies, and PPE requirements

Operate and maintain flexographic presses and related equipment

Perform setups, changeovers, and job preparation

Monitor print quality, registration, and color consistency

Troubleshoot press and production issues to reduce downtime

Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards

Complete production, waste, and downtime documentation

Perform preventative maintenance and maintain housekeeping

Work collaboratively with team members and department leads

Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives

Report equipment concerns and safety hazards promptly

What You Need To Succeed





Minimum 2-3 years of flexographic printing experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Experience with Martin Automatic equipment and AVT systems preferred

Die cutting experience preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Professional attitude with strong attendance and punctuality

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, inks, and solvents
