RSI is an Atlantic Canada-based technology company supporting charities through its flagship platform, Play4Good, which enables organizations across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to run secure, high-impact weekly raffles that deliver real community benefit. Our client is seeking a hands-on Head of Engineering and Technical Operations who owns development and the reliable technical operation of those services.

The ideal candidate combines coaching and delivery ownership with the ability to align technology architecture with business goals and evaluate useful AI efficiencies. What you'll be doing - Lead a skilled team of developers and an infrastructure specialist, staying close to the code through hands‑on work and code review.

- Shape the platform's architecture and the technology behind it around where the business is going, turning priorities into clear plans and seeing each release through.
- Take new ideas from broad requirements to actionable specs, bringing the business and technical teams into agreement on scope, priorities and what success looks like.
- Lead the team's use of AI, identifying tools and processes that help them ship faster and with fewer defects, and teaching everyone to use them well.
- Partner with marketing and other departments to build features that help RSI grow,



and take ownership of the company gaming site.
- Keep the services charities depend on running and secure, from monitoring and backups to leading the response when something goes wrong.

What we're looking for - Experience as a hands‑on Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager or senior technical leader who is still ready to roll up their sleeves.

- A track record of leading and coaching developers while operating live, customer‑facing services.
- Recent full stack development, architecture and code review experience across web and mobile applications, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
- The ability to be both tactical and strategic, balancing day‑to‑day delivery with long‑term planning.
- Real examples of software delivered and maintained with AI, and a clear approach to checking its quality.
- Experience with incident response, disaster recovery and secure development practices.
- Sound judgment on when to bring in specialist advice while keeping ownership of the technical solution.
