JOB SUMMARY The Health & Safety Manager – Programs & Claims plays a key leadership role in supporting and advancing the Ramudden Safety Program across Canada. This role is responsible for overseeing the Programs & Claims function within the Health & Safety team, providing mentorship and direction to team members, and ensuring consistent execution of health and safety initiatives, claims management, and return-to-work programs.

This position is a 14-month contract to cover a long-term leave, effective November 2026, with the potential for extension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assume full supervisory responsibility for the Programs & Claims team

Provide day-to-day guidance, workload prioritization, and performance feedback for team members

Lead execution of annual safety deliverables, ensuring program compliance and effectiveness

Assist in the pursuit and maintenance of ISO 45001 certification for all Canadian business entities under Ramudden Global North America

Prepare and present quarterly updates to senior leadership on Health & Safety performance

Collaborate closely with the Manager, Health & Safety – Field to align program requirements with field operations

Ensure accurate, timely, and strategic handling of WSIB and occupational injury claims

Support continuous improvement of safety systems, training,



and reporting processes

Champion a culture of safety and accountability across the organization

Facilitate orientation/onboarding training, help coordinate and delivery on-going H&S; training modules

Prepare and participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee Meetings

Review incident/inspection reports, monitor and ensure corrective action/follow-up done

Help develop and maintain inventory protected work practices and procedures

Create opportunities to advise, coach and assist management and supervisors on technical health and safety advice/support including but not limited to OHSA, Industrial & Construction Regulations, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Traffic Control, Machine Guarding, PPE, Cranes and Lifting Devices, First Aid, Fire Protection, Emergency Response, Noice, etc.

Conduct investigations and assist in resolution of safety issues through the Internal Responsibility System

Maintain company emergency equipment location inventory (first aid kits, fire extinguishers, etc.)

Participate in associations and benchmarking to maintain currency with emerging trends

Lead the planning of Ramudden Annual training days

Maintain compliance for online contractor portals

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field

Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or working toward it (assets)





Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Health & Safety, with exposure to program development and claims management

Experience leading or mentoring staff, either formally or informally

Knowledge of WSIB processes, return-to-work programs and Canadian Health & Safety legislation

Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
