About BCI The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is currently seeking an Investment Services co-op student/intern for the Winter & Summer 2027 work terms (January to August) to provide support for Investment Operation projects related to corporate and asset class initiatives.

Team Overview The Investment Services team works with internal partners to design end-to-end business solutions on new products and strategic initiatives, provides lead support to Investment Operations’ SimCorp Dimension (SCD) business users, and oversees BCI’s relationships related to SWIFT messaging and custody. The co-op student/intern will work under the Senior Analyst, Investment Services, in collaboration with the rest of the team and other stakeholders. Work will primarily focus on day-to-day processing and monitoring, with a secondary focus on building solutions that assist the team in more effectively.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop conceptual knowledge of trade workflows in an investment management firm with a specific focus on illiquid asset classes

Troubleshoot and enhance existing workflows/workbooks used in daily operations

Build and maintain collaborative, supportive relationships with team members of Investment Operations and various departments’ key operational personnel





Develop knowledge of relevant internal systems with the department and BCI

Assist in managing Ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the team

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Competitive pay:



$2,330.00 gross bi-weekly or $2,155.00 gross bi-weekly + vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary ($2,330.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) a graduate degree and $2,155.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) an undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate)

Travel: if coming to Victoria for this work term, BCI will provide a fixed-rate travel allowance based on your location The Details
