About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Mortgage Originator to join their expanding team, serving clients across the Northern Cape region and beyond. This role is critical for helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership dreams by guiding them through the mortgage application process. You will be responsible for generating new mortgage business, advising clients on suitable loan products, and ensuring a smooth, compliant application process.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new mortgage loan applications through proactive outreach, networking, and client relationship management.

Advise potential borrowers on mortgage loan options, terms, and conditions based on their financial needs.

Guide applicants through the entire loan application process, ensuring all required documentation is collected accurately and efficiently.

Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral partners.





Ensure compliance with all lending regulations, policies, and procedures.

Stay up-to-date with market trends and product offerings in the mortgage industry.

Requirements

Proven experience in mortgage origination, sales, or a related financial services role. A strong sales background is essential.

Thorough understanding of mortgage lending products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., National Credit Act).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline of prospective clients.

Proficiency in using loan origination software and CRM systems.

Relevant certificates or licenses as required by South African financial regulations.
