Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant

Location: North America (Remote, with travel)

Contract: Full time contract, October 2026 – June 2027 (extension possible)

Go-Live: January 2027

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant to support a major Oracle Fusion implementation.

You will be embedded within the Finance team, providing hands-on support to super users and business users throughout UAT, go-live and the post-go-live stabilization period.

The ideal candidate will have broad accounting knowledge, strong functional troubleshooting experience and the ability to communicate effectively with Finance stakeholders.

The role is not intended for a highly technical configuration specialist, as detailed technical and tax expertise is supported by existing central teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide functional support across Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Work closely with Finance teams, super users and business stakeholders.
- Support General Ledger processes, including journals, allocations and period close.
- Provide functional support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management.
- Support Subledger Accounting and transaction-to-GL traceability.
- Investigate issues across accounting transactions and financial processes.
- Support intercompany and tax-related processes at a functional level.
- Work with Finance teams to understand and resolve transactional and process issues.
- Support the relationship between PPM and Financials, including project costs, revenue and WIP.
- Assist with data quality and transactional issues arising from the new Oracle Fusion environment.
- Support UAT, go-live preparation, hypercare and post-go-live stabilization.




- Investigate user-reported issues and distinguish between data, process, user and system-related problems.
- Escalate system changes and configuration requirements through established governance.
- Support reporting requirements in collaboration with central teams.
- Support initial monthly and quarterly close cycles following go-live.
- Document recurring issues, resolutions and functional guidance.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and the development of internal Finance capability.

Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion functional experience.
- Experience across at least two complete Oracle Fusion implementation lifecycles, including post-go-live support.
- Strong functional experience across Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Broad knowledge of:
- General Ledger
- Subledger Accounting
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Cash Management
- Fixed Assets
- Intercompany
- Experience troubleshooting end-to-end financial transactions.
- Understanding of project accounting and the relationship between PPM and Financials.
- Practical experience with OTBI and BI Publisher is beneficial.
- Experience supporting UAT, go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
