Vacancies: 1 Position: Permanent Part Time Placement: August 24, 2026 Hours: 27.5 hours, Monday to Friday. 7am-9am 2pm-5:30pm additional hours available on non-instructional days between 7am-5:30pm, including over summer 2026!

Wage: $23.00/hour plus benefits

Responsibilities

Work effectively with children, staff, and other stakeholders to provide an inclusive, healthy, and engaging environment.

To assist with the planning and implementation of a child centered program in accordance with YMCA-YWCA and CCFL standards, including YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum standards.

Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours.

To read, understand and follow all YMCA-YWCA policies and procedures related to the supervision, guidance and care of children.

To establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships within the community.

To maintain a neat, orderly, and clean environment, including all activity areas and washrooms.

Qualifications

Must be at least 19 years of age.

Experience working with children 5 – 12

Responsible Adult or 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset

Early Childhood Education Assistant License to Practice an asset.

Current Standard First Aid and CPR C required A clear Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required A clear Police/RCMP Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required
