Role Description This is a full time, on-site Registered Psychotherapist role based in East York, ON. The psychotherapist will provide individual and, where applicable, couple or family psychotherapy using integrated somatic and psychotherapeutic approaches. Daily responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating regular therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation.

The role involves collaborating with other practitioners as needed, participating in supervision or case consultations, and adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.



The psychotherapist will also engage in continuing education and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and trauma-sensitive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling for individuals and couples.
- Understanding of Medicine as it relates to mental health, psychopharmacology, and interdisciplinary care, including appropriate referral practices.
- Registration in good standing (or eligibility for registration) with a relevant regulatory college (e.g., CRPO or equivalent).
- Formal training and/or experience in somatic or body-based psychotherapy modalities (e.g., somatic experiencing, sensorimotor, trauma-informed approaches) is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work with diverse populations in a non-discriminatory, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the capacity to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, supervision, and evidence-informed practice.
