About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join their national, fully remote team, supporting a broad portfolio of projects including those in the Northern Cape . This critical role involves providing expert structural design and analysis for a wide array of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, resilience, and code compliance from a distance. You will leverage advanced engineering software and your extensive experience to deliver high-quality structural solutions remotely, collaborating with project managers, architects, and site engineers across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and analysis for diverse projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure elements.

Develop comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in compliance with relevant South African National Standards (SANS).

Provide expert technical consultation and support to project teams, clients, and site personnel remotely.

Conduct peer reviews of structural designs and ensure quality assurance throughout the design process.





Troubleshoot and resolve structural issues encountered during the design or construction phases.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering principles, materials, and software, applying them to projects throughout South Africa .

Requirements

Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.

Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.

Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, RAM Structural System).

Demonstrated experience in managing complex structural engineering tasks independently and delivering results remotely.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across various geographic locations, including supporting work in regions like Kimberley .
