LeverageTek is actively seeking RPA & Power Platform Developers for a 5-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks

- Design, build, and deploy Power Automate Desktop (RPA) bots to automate data workflows feeding into an on-premise Oracle-based accounting system
- Develop Power Automate Cloud Flows to trigger and orchestrate automation processes based on events such as email arrival, file drops, and scheduled triggers
- Build UI automation bots that interact directly with the on-premise desktop accounting application to inject data
- Implement API integrations with external financial systems and bank APIs to retrieve, transform, and load data into the accounting system
- Automate email-triggered workflows: receive email → extract attachment → process and transform data → inject into accounting system
- Perform data transformation and lightweight ETL using Power Platform Data Flows
- Build a Power Apps monitoring and configuration application for the Finance business team
- Deliver up to 7 distinct automation use cases within the contract period, working in parallel with a second contractor
- Produce technical documentation for all automations built
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal resources to ensure continuity post-contract

Key Qualifications

- Proven, hands-on experience building Power Automate Desktop (RPA) bots in a professional enterprise setting, including UI automation against legacy desktop applications
- Strong working knowledge of the full Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem: Power Automate Desktop, Power Automate Cloud Flows, Power Apps, and Power Platform Data Flows
- Demonstrated experience with data transformation and ETL — extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple formats including CSV, API responses, and email attachments

Qualifications

- Experience making API calls from Power Automate (REST APIs), including authentication, pagination, and error handling




- UIPath experience — transferable RPA background; candidates who have transitioned from UIPath to Power Automate Desktop are highly desirable
- Oracle system familiarity — understanding of Oracle-based accounting systems is a plus
- Financial domain knowledge — familiarity with financial data workflows, accounting processes, or ERP systems
- SharePoint / Microsoft 365 broader ecosystem knowledge
- Azure fundamentals
- Strong documentation skills and ability to produce clear technical documentation for knowledge transfer purposes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote-first environment

Compensation
