About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geophysicist to join their exploration team in Kimberley . This position is vital for interpreting seismic and other geophysical data to identify and characterize subsurface structures and potential hydrocarbon reservoirs. You will work closely with geologists and reservoir engineers to integrate geophysical insights into exploration strategies and field development plans.

This role requires a deep understanding of seismic data processing and interpretation techniques, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities

Process, interpret, and analyze seismic data (2D/3D) to identify geological structures and potential hydrocarbon accumulations.

Integrate geophysical data with geological and well log information to build robust subsurface models.

Perform velocity analysis, depth conversion, and attribute analysis to enhance reservoir characterization.





Identify and evaluate exploration risks and uncertainties based on geophysical evidence.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guide exploration, appraisal, and development drilling.

Prepare comprehensive geophysical reports and present findings to management and technical teams.

Requirements

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geophysics, Physics, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in geophysical interpretation and seismic data analysis within the Oil & Gas industry.

Proficiency with industry-standard geophysical software (e.g., Petrel, OpendTect, GeoGraphix).

Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation workflows.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience with various geological settings and hydrocarbon systems.
