Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Vision Software Engineer to join a biotechnology organization developing advanced computer vision and machine learning solutions.

Engineer will support commercial software deployments, drive continuous product improvements, and play a key role in transitioning new technologies from R&D; into commercial environments.

The Senior Vision Software

Engineer is a direct placement and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities of the Senior Vision Software Engineer:

Integrate commercial and biological data into existing tools and applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proprietary software solutions.

Support and improve production code deployments for field systems.

Drive new product development using computer vision and machine learning technologies.

Validate and test data, software, and analytical outputs to ensure quality and accuracy.

Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Assist with product commercialization and R&D-to-production; transitions.

Travel occasionally to customer sites for troubleshooting and support.

Requirements of the Senior Vision Software Engineer:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,



or a related field.

8+ years of software development experience.

Robust proficiency with Python and C#.

Experience with computer vision and machine learning applications.

Experience working with biological data and biotechnology environments.

Proficiency with SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and/or Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience with Azure cloud services, container deployment, and software versioning.

Knowledge of data privacy regulations and data governance best practices.

Compensation for the Senior Vision Software Engineer:

$100,000 - $140,000
