RESOURCE TEACHER

Primary Duties

Identify and assess student learning needs through observation, data review, and collaboration with teachers and parents.

Administer screening and assessment tools (ex: DIBELS) and use results to support intervention and instructional planning.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student support plans in accordance with division and provincial guidelines.

Provide direct instruction and/or intervention for students individually or in small groups, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning skills.





Support student transitions between grades and programs as needed.

Lead transition planning by setting up class formation meetings and organizing classroom profiles.

Provide classroom teachers with student support information (classroom profiles, adapted education plans, individualized education plans) prior to the start of the school year.

Organize EAs deployment and supervision schedules.

Requirements

A teaching philosophy in keeping with Catholic education A minimum of two professional references submitted with contact information provided A minimum of one pastoral reference submitted using the form found on our website: www.sjbschool.ca A CRC and CARC to be submitted before commencement of employment A valid Manitoba Permanent Professional Certificate
